Moo Free Mikey Scrummy Caramel Bunny

    February 16, 2020 / No Comments

I brought the Moo Free Mikey Scrummy Caramel Bunny on a whim, and because I was doing my monthly Tesco order for foods I can't find elsewhere, and needed to reach the £40 minimum. I thought, what the hell, it's new to me and £2.50! And boy, I was surprised! I've tasted all bar the caramel Moo Free bars - mostly because I didn't know they did a caramel one! First of all I'm really pleased to see fun easter treats making their way to shelves - it's the first year I've seen bunnies and eggs, and I LOVE it! I love the bunny shape, and eating it brings joy.

Oh. My. God. So decadent. So creamy. So rich. So beautiful. Moo Free was the first brand of free from chocolate I settled on, and after I jumped ship to NOMO, I dediced to give these a try.

I have to be honest; I did not have high hopes for the Tesco Free From Onion Rings. After the utter disaster of the cheese balls my expectations were low. I’m very happy to say that I’ve been pleasantly surprised!

Tesco Free From Popped Potato Chips

    March 20, 2019 / No Comments

Tesco Free From Popped Potato Chips are milk, wheat, and gluten free! That’s a good way to start by my books. The Tesco Free From Popped Potato Chips are new addition to Tesco's Free From range, and are suitable for vegans, gluten free, milk free, and wheat free (different to being gluten free). Per bag they are also rather low in saturated fat for a bag of chips at 0.1g, which isn't too bad.

    Choices Choc N Orange Rondellos

    February 19, 2019 / No Comments

Choices was the first chocolate I was introduced to it when I realised that I can't digests milk, and lactose. Sainsbury's stocked the Choices truffles, and I ate a lot of them. The amount I ate was obscene. Nowadays, I've been ‘cheating’ on Choices with Moo Free, and the odd indulgence of a Booja Booja chocolate, but I was given Choices Choc N Orange Rondellos as a gift by a family member - and who am I to turn down free free from chocolate!

Hippeas Organic Chickpea Puffs Salt & Vinegar Vibes

    February 14, 2019 / No Comments

I picked up the Hippeas Organic Chick Pea Puffs Salt & Vinegar Vibes on a whim at a service station. The Hippeas Organic Chick Pea Puffs Salt & Vinegar Vibes are vegan, organic, dairy free, gluten free, and maize free. They're not exactly IBS friendly as they're made from chickpea, so they might upset a lot of stomaches. However, they do not contain potatoes! So, for those of you that cannot eat potatoes for either allergy or intolerance reasons, these are perfect for you.

    Schar Gluten Free Mini Dippers

    February 13, 2019 / No Comments

My favourite bit about the Schar gluten free mini dippers packaging is that it reminds me of school - it's got that nostalgic quality of dunking various carbohydrate laden foods into some sort of sweet mixture. I am all for it. However, I'm not all for the unnecessary plastic, as there's a lot of empty space as you can see. Granted, that's just after I'd finished most of the dippers (it was unexpectedly good), but there's a lot of unused space. It is also a bit difficult to get the broken Schar gluten free mini dippers out of the bottom of the packing

About

Welcome to Figuring Out Food. I live with a number of allergies, intolerances, and severe IBS, and over the the years I’ve come across a number of useful blogs, but they always have something or another I can’t eat. So, I decided to start my own! I want to share what I know, and have found out over the years because when your diet is this restricted, things get complicated.
