Moo Free Mikey Scrummy Caramel Bunny

    February 16, 2020 / No Comments

I brought the Moo Free Mikey Scrummy Caramel Bunny on a whim, and because I was doing my monthly Tesco order for foods I can't find elsewhere, and needed to reach the £40 minimum. I thought, what the hell, it's new to me and £2.50! And boy, I was surprised! I've tasted all bar the caramel Moo Free bars - mostly because I didn't know they did a caramel one! First of all I'm really pleased to see fun easter treats making their way to shelves - it's the first year I've seen bunnies and eggs, and I LOVE it! I love the bunny shape, and eating it brings joy.

I have to be honest; I did not have high hopes for the Tesco Free From Onion Rings. After the utter disaster of the cheese balls my expectations were low. I’m very happy to say that I’ve been pleasantly surprised!

How to be happy when eating free from versions of past foods.

    November 10, 2019 / No Comments

How to be happy when eating free from versions of past foods. This post was inspired by the new Tesco Cheese Flavour Balls – full review coming soon. Nowadays there are ‘dupes’ of many foods, and they come in all shapes and sizes. Some dupes are from the same manufacturer cashing in on the ‘free from’ trend. Some are from allergen friendly companies filling a whole in the market, but one thing is certain – they are all ‘nearly but not quite’. Granted, there is sometimes the odd product that’s amazing, but when you have as many allergens/intolerances/IBS as me the list of ‘tastes like I remember it’ gets even smaller. It’s quite common…

Top 10 Free From & Tummy Friendly Snacks

    January 17, 2019 / No Comments

Unless you’ve scouted out friendly food venues, eating out safely unplanned just doesn’t happen. To combat this I’ve started taking out a rucksack with me so I can store a few different bits of snack food, water, extra meds, and my walking stick. It’s potentially a bit over the top for a small journey, but I’m so grateful to have the supplies when/if they’re needed. It also acts a…

About

Welcome to Figuring Out Food. I live with a number of allergies, intolerances, and severe IBS, and over the the years I’ve come across a number of useful blogs, but they always have something or another I can’t eat. So, I decided to start my own! I want to share what I know, and have found out over the years because when your diet is this restricted, things get complicated.
