Moo Free Mikey Scrummy Caramel Bunny

Moo Free Mikey Scrummy Caramel Bunny Review

I brought the Moo Free Mikey Scrummy Caramel Bunny on a whim, and because I was doing my monthly Tesco order for foods I can’t find elsewhere, and needed to reach the £40 minimum. I thought, what the hell, it’s new to me and £2.50!

And boy, I was surprised! I’ve tasted all bar the caramel Moo Free bars – mostly because I didn’t know they did a caramel one!

First of all I’m really pleased to see fun easter treats making their way to shelves – it’s the first year I’ve seen bunnies and eggs, and I LOVE it! I love the bunny shape, and eating it brings joy.

Smell, Taste & Texture

The smell was absent, but since there’s quite a high concentrate of oils I never really expect a smell with Moo Free chocolates.

The taste was so much better than I expected! Caramel is one of those flavours that is VERY hit or miss, and this one was pretty much a hit! Though the flavour in the Moo Free Mikey Scrummy Caramel Bunny hit a little late, and was more prounounced after swallowing the main bit of chocolate. After that flavour hit it tasted really reach, and the two combined (because we all know I didn’t just take one bite and that was it) was a good mix of rich caramel that wasn’t too overpowering. Moo Free struck the right balance!

The texture of the Moo Free Mikey Scrummy Caramel Bunny was okay … it reminded me almost like powdered sugar as there was a slight grain to it. I don’t know if that’s just because of that shape, or what it’s normally like so it would be interesting to compare. It seemed as though the bunny melted at a lower temp that the bars – though that could just be because the chocolat seems really thin!

Final Thoughts

Moo Free Mikey Scrummy Caramel Bunny is not my favourite Moo Free chocolate flavours, BUT it is one I would eat again … even in this shape. If I see it in a store I’d pick it up, but I’d still probably go for NOMO over Moo Free for a caramel flavour.
