Co-op Free From Mince Pies – Gluten & Milk Free
“Gluten and milk free mince pies, filled with rich, fruity mincemeat in a golden pastry case.”
I’ve gone through about 4 different types of mince pies this year that are free from for me, and the Co-op Free From Mince Pies are the standout BEST. Let me tell you why!

Smell, Taste & Texture
The Co-op Free From Mince Pies are always bursting out of the pack. They’re not underfilled – they always seem to jump out of the easing. They taste incredible. The pastry is crisp and sweet – not too powdery even though rice flour is the second ingredient and it has a crunch to it that others (I’m looking at you Holland & Barrett mince pies) miss. The filling is juicy, and actually has flavour (again, Holland & Barrett). I’m a fan of the orange oil taste being prominent in my mince pies. But you might not be.
The texture is crumbly, but if you’re a regular eater of free from food you know this. Every free from mince pie I’ve had falls apart in my hands – some more than others, but they all break up and go EVERYWHERE. I could do without the loose sugar going everywhere though! It’s currently in-between my keyboard keys, and it makes everything sticky.
They smell delicious. My mouth automatically waters when I take one out of the pack. When I bite into one the smell almost hits me in the nose and I’m a fan.
Do they live up to their tagline? Yes! The pastry is golden, the pies are full – with a little space for shrinkage, and they taste rich.
Final Thoughts
Would I buy the Co-op Free From Mince Pies again? Yes, and I do! They’re one of my favourite mince pies out there on the market that are free from everything.
